There are not many places that have such a large number of monuments and tourist attractions concentrated in such a small area as Tarragona has. In Roman times, the city was named Tarraco (Ταρρακών in Ptolemy, ii. 6. § 17) and was capital of the province of Hispania Tarraconensis (after being capital of Hispania Citerior in the Republican era). The Roman colony founded at Tarraco had the full name of Colonia Iulia Urbs Triumphalis Tarraco. From that magnificence there still survives a very rich monumental heritage that allows us to admire some remains from the Roman Empire such as La Muralla (The Wall), which surrounds the old part of the city, El forum, foro romano (Roman forum), Anfiteatro Ramano (Roman Amphitheatre, Acueducto&Pont del diablo, La torre del Escipions (The Scipios' Tower) and L´arc de berá (Bera's Arch), Circo Romano (Roman circus).
This look out is located at the end of the Rambla Nova (the city’s main avenue). It's called Balcó del Mediterrani (cat.) (Mediterranean’s balcony) and probably is one of the most beautiful places in Costa Dorada.

Inga,
Your photos are inspiring. have you considered writing a book about your travels? It can be fun to brainstorm what to do with the priceless electronic memories.
Although I have not visited Barcelona, I've been fortunate to visit other parts of Spain. Bythe way, do you know anyone who has visited Croatia? My girlfriend went hiking there for a memorable honeymoon desination.
Hello, thank you so much for your comments! Book.. hm... Inspired by the things that I see in different countries I write novels, (but by now only in russian, hope to translate them to english).
Where have you been to Spain?
About Croatia I know, my family and my friends´ve been there a lot of times. Sad, I can´t give you a link on their stories, becouse they are in russian, but I can say all of them loved It. It´s beautiful, safe, clean, the water is amazing, the beaches are clean, the cities are so interesting, so many things to see. Even italians go there to spend vacations, becouse Its cleaner and cheaper than in Italy. :) I hope ths information was useful..
