Crazy World. Spanish News

A Spanish driver who hit and killed a 17-year-old cyclist is seeking damages worth 20,000 euros ($30,000) for the damage his car suffered in the accident, the daily El Pais reported Friday.

Enaitz Iriondo was hit by an Audi A8 as he was cycling home from a meeting with friends in the dark in the northern La Rioja region in 2004.

Iriondo's parents were paid damages of 33,000 euros ($48,193) by the driver's insurance company, but the driver is now seeking damages from the parents for the damage done to his car which he had to replace.

'What happened to the boy cannot be fixed, but my case can,' the driver argued, admitting he did not really need the money.

Iriondo's parents described the court case as 'the last blow.' The court was expected to decide on Wednesday.

Inga,
I love your blog and creative photography.

This story reveals that some people get so wrapped up in the physical world that they overlook the most important thing-- the state of the soul. This is the source of self-love, intuition, conscience and understanding.

If a person has forgotten (or never learned) to love himself, then he forgets truth must be felt. Sensing feelings enables a person to get in touch with and heal whatever blocks his own love and forgiveness. This driver needs compassion and love from us not repulsion and scorn to learn how to heal from within.
